Regular thinning is recommended for the health and safety of the tree, as it allows for more light penetration and greater air flow through the tree’s foliage, which in turn helps make a tree less susceptible to breaking or falling during heavy winds.
Tree Pollarding is a specialty procedure that involves severely pruning the head of the tree the first year followed by sprout removal each year afterwards or every few years to maintain a modest size for large tree species. Pollarding is not effective for every tree species and should be performed by a knowledgeable tree professional.

Tree removal generally refers to the taking down and removal of a tree from a property. Many times tree removal is a necessary evil in urban areas.
Trees are many times planted without regard to mature tree size and become too large for their location, other times they may have died due to disease or other problems in which tree removal is necessary for safety concerns.

Stump Grinding
Stump Grinding is performed using a stump grinding machine, the machine has a wheel lined with carbide tipped teeth and can cut/grind the stump into small wood chips.
Standard stump grinding is performed 8 - 12 inches below the surface including any surface roots depending on the circumstances.
